GEORGE TOWN, April 12 – In celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Karnival Raya Tanjong 2025 will be held on April 19, from 6pm to 11pm at the iconic Padang Kota Lama. Organised by the Tanjong MP Service Centre and supported by local assembly offices, the event promises a vibrant evening of cultural performances, traditional games, food stalls, and interactive family activities.
Open to all Malaysians regardless of race or religion, the carnival aims to promote unity, cultural heritage, and local tourism. Highlights include performances like Boria, Zapin, Joget Jaya, and Silat, along with batik painting, ketupat weaving workshops, and traditional games such as congkak and batu seremban. Tanjong MP YB Lim Hui Ying invites the public to join in the festivities and create memorable moments in the spirit of harmony and togetherness.
