KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 — Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan today unveiled the Asean Infrastructure Fund (AIF) Action Plan 2025–2028, positioning it as a catalyst for Asean’s global leadership in governance and sustainable development. As Malaysia assumes chairmanship of both AIF and Asean this year, Amir Hamzah emphasised the fund’s pivotal role in transforming the region’s infrastructure landscape through resilient, low-carbon, and inclusive projects.
The plan builds on over a decade of impactful investments and includes a firm commitment to green finance through the Asean Catalytic Green Finance Facility. With full backing from Asean finance ministers and the Asian Development Bank, the Action Plan reflects Malaysia’s Priority Economic Deliverables and reinforces the region’s united push for sustainability amid global uncertainties.
