GEORGE TOWN, April 30 – Dato’ Ir. Pathmanathan K., CEO of Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) and PBA Holdings Bhd. (PBAHB), extended heartfelt appreciation to over 850 PBAPP personnel and numerous supporting teams for their tireless efforts during the April 2025 Scheduled Water Supply Interruption (SWSI). Carried out over a continuous 96-hour period.
The statewide operation involved 23 critical water works projects across nine locations, including the Sungai Dua Water Treatment Plant and Bukit Dumbar Reservoir Complex, successfully achieving all operational goals with minimal disruption. Dato’ Ir. Pathmanathan also acknowledged the instrumental roles played by third-party contractors, nationwide water agencies, local councils, and the Penang State Government.
Special thanks were extended to the 341,708 affected consumers for their cooperation and preparedness during the SWSI. The coordinated efforts exemplify strong collaboration and resilience in maintaining water security for Penang’s residents.
