GEORGE TOWN, May 6 — A woman in her 20s was found dead after allegedly falling from the seventh floor of the south parking area at a shopping mall. The incident was reported at approximately 12:47 PM when a call was received by the local police station from the mall’s auxiliary police, alerting authorities to the suspected fall.
Preliminary investigations confirmed that the victim had arrived at the mall earlier in a Honda City, where her personal belongings were later found. A witness, an employee of a supermarket in the mall, reported seeing the woman fall at 12:44 PM while driving near the loading bay area. According to her family, she had left home around 9:00 AM and last communicated at noon, mentioning plans to buy food.
The case is being classified as a sudden death report (SDR). A post-mortem conducted by the Forensic Department at Balik Pulau Hospital determined the cause of death to be “multiple injuries consistent with fall from height.” Investigations are ongoing.
