KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 — Police are intensifying investigations into the disappearance of Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh, who was allegedly abducted on April 9 while en route to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters. An e-hailing driver who transported Ling that day told Harian Metro he was forced to end the ride and surrender his identification before Ling was forcibly taken by individuals in police-style attire.

Ling has been missing since the incident, with no ransom demands reported. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain revealed that investigations are now focusing on Ling’s husband and potentially several others as suspects. Sixteen individuals have been questioned, and a special CID task force has been established to manage the case.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and verifying whether the abductors were genuine police officers or impersonators, stressing that rogue conduct by officers will be prosecuted if confirmed.
