KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 — Xiaomi has maintained its dominance in Malaysia’s smartphone market for the first quarter of 2025, according to data from global research firm Canalys. With an 18% share in unit shipments and an 11% year-on-year growth, the brand continues to lead the pack, bolstered by strong demand for both its Xiaomi and Redmi product lines.

Eddie Huang, Country Manager of Xiaomi Malaysia, credited the brand’s growth to innovation, affordability, and customer loyalty. He emphasized the success of the dual-brand strategy and highlighted the launch of the Xiaomi 15 and Redmi Note 14 series as key drivers. Xiaomi’s entry into the ultra-premium segment and its growing AIoT ecosystem reflect its commitment to delivering advanced yet accessible smart solutions to Malaysian consumers.
