SUBANG JAYA, May 29 — Taylor’s University has unveiled a groundbreaking Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering with Honours programme—the first in Malaysia to offer specialised tracks in Robotics Systems and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Designed to meet the demands of Industry 4.0, this four-year degree integrates mechanical engineering, electronics, robotics, and AI, empowering students to lead innovation across sectors such as manufacturing, aerospace, and healthcare.
Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council and aligned with Malaysia’s National Policy on Industry 4.0, graduates will be eligible to register with the Board of Engineers Malaysia under the Washington Accord. Enhancing real-world readiness, the programme features collaborations with industry leaders like DJI Academy Malaysia and Unitree Robotics, offering students hands-on exposure from Year 2 through EUFORIA and EUFORIA Type-Research (R) initiatives.
With access to multidisciplinary projects, the Robotics Club, and an optional fast-track Master’s pathway with the University of Birmingham, Taylor’s students are positioned to become future-ready engineers. “We are not just teaching the fundamentals—we are shaping innovators who will define the future of technology,” said Programme Director Ir Dr Phang Swee King.
