GEORGE TOWN, May 19 – The much-anticipated “Together, We Care” 2KM Fun Walk returns on Sunday, 27 July 2025, at 7:00 AM from Beach Street, Penang. Organised by the Tanjong Parliamentary Service Centre alongside the Komtar, Padang Kota, and Pengkalan Kota ADUN Service Centres, the event is dedicated to raising awareness for individuals with special needs, including those with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities.
With over 2,000 participants expected, the walk aims to foster empathy, visibility, and a more inclusive society. YB Lim Hui Ying, Deputy Minister of Finance and Member of Parliament for Tanjong, emphasized the event’s significance in supporting marginalised communities. Nine NGOs will host exhibition booths featuring educational materials and handmade goods, while performances by individuals with disabilities will highlight their unique talents.
