Apple has announced key changes to its App Store pricing structure and tax regulations affecting developers in select countries. In Brazil, effective May 16, a new 10% CIDE tax will apply to foreign developers’ earnings from paid apps and in-app purchases.

Unless developers set Brazil as their base storefront in App Store Connect, Apple will adjust local pricing automatically beginning June 2. Similar pricing updates will occur in Kazakhstan, though changes won’t apply to developers using manual pricing or auto-renewable subscriptions.

In Europe, Apple will introduce a major policy shift on August 4 affecting auto-renewable subscriptions in Austria, Germany, and Poland. Users in these countries must explicitly consent to any price increase, or their subscription will end at the close of the current billing cycle.

Apple will send weekly notifications until users confirm or the subscription lapses. This marks a move toward increased user transparency and regulatory compliance in key markets.
