PUTRAJAYA, June 2 – Airbus has officially opened a new office in Putrajaya, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in Malaysia ahead of LIMA 2025. The new hub, which will house 170 employees, is dedicated to enhancing customer support for regional airline operators, particularly for A330 and A350 fleets, while reinforcing Airbus’ long-standing partnership with Malaysia across commercial, defence, space, and helicopter sectors.

Anand Stanley, President of Airbus Asia-Pacific, highlighted Malaysia’s vital role in Airbus’ regional strategy, noting that nearly every Airbus commercial aircraft contains parts made in Malaysia. With close to 150 Airbus aircraft in operation, 400 more on order, and a robust industrial presence—including MRO and training facilities—Airbus continues to support high-value jobs and sustainability initiatives such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) research with AMIC.

At LIMA 2025, Airbus will showcase an array of aircraft, including the A400M, ACH160, and advanced aerospace systems, underlining its deep and growing engagement in Malaysia’s aviation ecosystem.
