LANGKAWI, May 21 — Airbus is strengthening its regional training infrastructure with the addition of Southeast Asia’s first H175 full-flight simulator (FFS) at its Airbus Helicopters Training Academy in Subang, Malaysia. Scheduled to be operational in the second half of 2026.
The H175 simulator joins the existing H225 and AS365 units, and will support pilot type rating, recurrent, and mission-specific training with cutting-edge features such as digitised classrooms, virtual trainers, and the latest Helionix avionics system.
“This investment reinforces our commitment to aviation safety and proximity to customers in Asia-Pacific,” said Romain Trapp, Executive Vice President, Customer Support and Services, Airbus Helicopters.
The Subang centre has delivered over 21,000 training hours to 2,600 pilots to date, and the new H175 FFS is expected to significantly expand that capacity—enhancing operational readiness and safety standards across the region.
