KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 – MaiStorage Technology officially launched its operations today, marking a major milestone in Malaysia’s ambitions to become a regional powerhouse in semiconductor and AI innovation.

Founded by Dato’ Pua Khein Seng, a pioneer in the global flash memory industry, the company has already trained 60 young IC design engineers and achieved break-even in less than a year—positioning itself as a key enabler of Malaysia’s digital sovereignty and tech independence.

A member of the Phison Group, MaiStorage is driving forward with localised R&D, enterprise storage solutions, and the aiDAPTIV+ AI training platform, while building a future-ready workforce through strategic partnerships with TalentCorp and educational bodies.

With plans to train 175 IC engineers by 2026 and a targeted IPO in 2028, MaiStorage is committed to transforming Malaysia from a consumer into a creator of technology, cementing its role in the nation’s semiconductor value chain and AI ecosystem.
