KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reiterated that there is no immediate need for a Cabinet reshuffle, despite the recent resignations of Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. Speaking at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2025, Anwar confirmed that both ministers are currently on leave and assured that the unity government remains stable and fully operational.
He added that ministerial duties will be temporarily reassigned at the next Cabinet meeting, and all secretaries-general and director-generals have been instructed to continue their roles without disruption. The Prime Minister also emphasized that Malaysia is focused on pressing international negotiations, including talks with ASEAN, the GCC, China, and the United States over proposed tariff measures.
