GEORGE TOWN, June 11 – YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy, has officially announced the Road to PBIM 2025 run, which begins on 21 June at Aspen Central Park, Batu Kawan. This preparatory event leads up to the iconic Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) 2025, set for 14 December.

The PBIM, one of Malaysia’s most prestigious marathons, not only draws global participants but also significantly boosts Penang’s tourism and economy. During the announcement, YB Wong also unveiled the official PBIM 2025 running vest, designed in collaboration with Brookes to ensure both performance and pride for participants.

The Road to PBIM series, organised by the Penang Forward Running Club, includes four training runs across Penang and aims to promote fitness, community spirit, and readiness for race day. The first session is free with registration and open to both beginners and seasoned runners.
