KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 — In response to the recent tragic bus crash in Gerik that claimed 15 lives, the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (Content Forum) has urged content creators, media professionals, and the public to uphold empathy, dignity, and responsibility when producing or sharing crisis-related content.

Echoing Minister YB Fahmi Fadzil’s call for sensitivity, the Forum reminded all parties to avoid graphic imagery, respect victims’ privacy, and refrain from sensationalism, in line with the principles outlined in Malaysia’s Content Code. The Content Forum emphasized that ethical content practices during national tragedies are essential to preserving humanity and protecting grieving families from further harm.
