JOHOR BARU, June 20 — The Johor government has committed over RM2 million to modernise the state’s Land and Mines Office (PTG) digital infrastructure in a bid to streamline land transactions and boost efficiency.
RM1.55 million will go toward upgrading the Computerised Land Registration System (SPTB), enhancing services such as e-submission, e-search, and e-consent, with online strata title searches already available and soon to include landed properties.
An additional RM500,000 is allocated for the upcoming e-SBKS system, set to launch in September, which is expected to cut the land grant return process from 510 days to just 53.
Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi also revealed plans to revise long-standing fees related to foreign property purchases and land transfers to better reflect current administrative costs and further strengthen Johor’s public service delivery.
