Synology has unveiled two powerful new DiskStation models—the DS1825+ and DS725+—designed to deliver high-speed data access and enterprise-grade storage in compact NAS systems. The DS1825+ features eight drive bays and supports up to 360TB of raw storage when paired with DX525 expansion units.

While the smaller DS725+ offers scalable storage up to 140TB, making it ideal for home offices and growing teams. Both models include dual 2.5GbE ports, M.2 NVMe SSD slots, and PCIe expansion for optional 10/25GbE networking upgrades.

The DS1825+ is powered by an AMD Ryzen V1500B processor and 8GB DDR4 ECC memory, achieving up to 2,239 MB/s read and 1,573 MB/s write speeds—perfect for demanding workflows like video production and surveillance.

Its compatibility with Synology-certified drives ensures consistent performance and long-term reliability, while features like immutable snapshots and backup tools protect critical data. The DS725+, with a more compact 2-bay design, maintains strong performance for edge deployments and remote collaboration.

Synology’s latest 25-series models integrate seamlessly with productivity, security, and backup applications, offering solutions such as on-premises file syncing, private photo storage, NAS-to-NAS synchronization, and centralized device backups.

Both devices are now available, with the DS1825+ priced at $1,150 and the DS725+ at $520 (excluding drives), through Synology’s official store and authorized retailers. With unmatched flexibility, security, and performance, Synology’s DS1825+ and DS725+ continue to raise the bar in storage solutions—whether for creative professionals, IT administrators, or small businesses looking to scale efficiently and securely.
