PUTRAJAYA, July 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today dismissed claims that he proposed “compromise” candidates for top judiciary appointments, affirming that all recommendations were made based on law and merit.
Speaking at the International Conference on Governance and Integrity 2025, Anwar said he had a thorough discussion with the Conference of Rulers this morning, and an official announcement on the appointments is expected today to address delays and dispel public concerns about judicial independence.
