PERMATANG PAUH, July 20 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirmed that eight Court of Appeal judges and 14 High Court judges will be officially sworn in on July 28, clarifying that none were removed or dismissed, as falsely speculated.

He explained that all appointments followed due process, including evaluation by the Judicial Appointments Commission, consultation with the Malay Rulers, and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s consent.

Anwar made the announcement while launching the Penang Bumiputera Development Master Plan (PIPBPP) 2026-2035, the Tunas MADANI Programme, and a RM1 billion JKPSB Housing Project in Permatang Pauh.

These initiatives aim to uplift the Bumiputera community through long-term development strategies, entrepreneurship support for graduates, and affordable housing — marking a significant commitment to inclusive, sustainable growth in Penang.
