KUCHING, August 7 — The Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) achieved a historic milestone at its Kuching Gala 2025, raising RM3.5 million to support HIV care in Sarawak, including a landmark RM2.25 million commitment from the Sarawak State Government.

The funds will enable the expansion of the Teratak Kasih Tok Nan (TKTN) programme — the state’s only community-rooted HIV support hub — to Bintulu, reaching underserved and remote communities with vital shelter, mental health, and outreach services.

Held at Hilton Kuching, the Gala brought together government leaders, corporate sponsors including Sunway Group, Yayasan Petronas, and Yayasan Sime Darby, and civil society partners in a powerful demonstration of collective resolve to end AIDS in Sarawak.

TKTN, first launched in 2016, continues to stand as a beacon of dignity and care, with the Bintulu expansion marking a bold new chapter in Sarawak’s HIV response.
