PUTRAJAYA, July 24 — The Ministry of Human Resources welcomes the Prime Minister’s announcement of 15 September 2025 (Monday) as an additional public holiday in conjunction with Malaysia Day celebrations.
The holiday offers Malaysians across both public and private sectors a chance to foster national unity, celebrate diversity, and appreciate the formation of Malaysia as a multiracial and multicultural nation.
This extended weekend is expected to enhance worker well-being through leisure while also stimulating local economic activities. Employers are reminded to comply with provisions under the Employment Act and related ordinances.
