KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 — Former economy minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has relaunched “Ayuh Malaysia” as a social enterprise initiative focused on boosting Malaysia’s underdeveloped third sector.

He said the movement aims to fill the gap between government and private sector services by supporting social enterprises that prioritise community benefit over profit.

Rafizi emphasised the importance of building a sustainable third sector to help alleviate government financial burdens in the long term, especially as Malaysia’s population ages.

The initiative’s pilot phase involves seven social enterprises, and Rafizi said it will take six months to evaluate public response and project outcomes to ensure accountability and impact.
