GEORGE TOWN, August 4 – Malaysia’s leading digital corporations, startups, SMEs, and government agencies will unite at the Penang Digital Economy Summit (PDES) 2025 on 9 August at G Hotel Gurney.
Organised by Digital Penang with support from MDEC and Cradle, and officiated by Penang Chief Minister YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, the summit will unveil the state’s Digital Economy Master Plan 2025–2030 and reinforce Penang’s role as Malaysia’s launchpad for innovation.
Lazada, the Platinum Partner, will headline workshops alongside tech showcases featuring AI, 5G, fintech, greentech, and more. Under the theme Collaborate on Opportunities, Shape the Future, PDES 2025 promises six expert-led breakout sessions and an open exhibition for the public, bridging collaboration between digital leaders and the Penang community.
Strategic partners REDtone and Maxis are also backing the initiative, signaling strong private-sector alignment with Malaysia’s MADANI Digital goals and the Penang2030 vision to build a future-ready digital ecosystem.
