GEORGE TOWN, August 19 — negaraku II, a powerful continuation of last year’s celebrated showcase, opens this August at Hin Bus Depot, inviting Malaysians to reflect on the evolving meaning of national identity. Curated by Ivan Gabriel and drawn from the personal collections of Bingley Sim and Ima Norbinsha.

The exhibition features nearly 60 thought-provoking works exploring themes of pride, migration, unity, and the quiet beauty of daily life. With multilingual guided tours, new works from contemporary artists, and interactive programmes like live food demos, negaraku II transforms the gallery into a vibrant celebration of Malaysia’s diverse voices.

Running through August 31, the free exhibition is supported by Yayasan Mr. D.I.Y. and Henry Butcher Art Auctioneers, offering a timely and inclusive space to rediscover what it truly means to belong.
