KUALA LUMPUR, August 24 — On the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima atomic bombing, Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) launched Run for Peace 2025 at Wisma Kebudayaan SGM, announcing that over 70,000 participants across 23 locations will unite this September to promote peace, unity, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Endorsed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of National Unity, this non-competitive movement embraces eco-friendly practices, inclusivity, and strategic partnerships with the United Nations, MAREA, MRCS, MY Clean Beach, and IIUM—highlighting the power of collective action in building a more compassionate, sustainable Malaysia.
