CUPERTINO, September 1 — Apple Wallet is getting a major overhaul in iOS 26, combining the new Liquid Glass design with a suite of powerful upgrades. Travel becomes smoother with revamped boarding passes featuring Live Activities, airport maps, and luggage tracking via Find My.

Notably, Live Activities can now be shared with family or friends. Apple is also introducing US passport support in Wallet, enabling digital identification at TSA checkpoints and compatible apps — a significant leap forward in digital ID convenience, although users are still advised to confirm airport policies before going fully digital.

Beyond travel, Apple Wallet now taps into Apple Intelligence to power smarter order tracking by extracting delivery information directly from emails without needing third-party support. New features also include saved credit card details with full number access, Apple Pay installment options through partners like Affirm, and integrated reward tracking.

Plus, a new setting allows users to disable promotional notifications — a quiet but welcome addition following recent user pushback. Altogether, these updates make Apple Wallet in iOS 26 more capable, personal, and travel-friendly than ever before.
