KUALA LUMPUR, August 11 – Selangor goalkeeper Kalamullah Al-Hafiz has called on his teammates to quickly move past their opening match defeat to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and focus on their upcoming Liga Super 2025/26 clash against DPMM Brunei.
Despite the 3-0 loss, Kalamullah praised his teammates for giving their best effort and stressed the importance of using the setback as a learning experience to improve future performances.
Kalamullah, who delivered standout saves against Arif Aiman’s free kick in the 39th minute and Joao Figueiredo’s shot in the 50th minute during the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium opener, admitted that JDT’s attack was simply more clinical. “We did our best, but their finishing was sharper.
We need to improve in every match,” he said, urging the Red Giants to sharpen their own offensive edge ahead of the next game.
