PETALING JAYA, August 26 — Businessman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak has issued a letter of demand to Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli, seeking a public apology and retraction over claims linking him to both a business scandal and the recent attack on Rafizi’s 12-year-old son.
Farhash’s lawyers said the allegations, made in a social media post on Aug 20, were false, malicious, and had severely damaged his reputation while investigations into the assault are still ongoing. Rafizi, however, stood firm, maintaining that his statements were factual and insisting he is ready to defend them in court.
He alleged the attack on his son occurred a week after he met informants regarding a scandal involving Farhash and his companies. With the two-day deadline in the letter of demand now expired, Rafizi said a legal battle would be in the public interest, allowing unanswered questions to be raised in court.
