KUALA LUMPUR, September 20 — Maxis Berhad underscored its role as a key enabler of Malaysia’s digital transformation at the Smart City Expo Kuala Lumpur (SCEKL) 2025, launched by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Under the theme “Cities of Tomorrow Begin Today,” Maxis Business showcased AI-driven solutions designed to tackle critical urban challenges and accelerate the digitalisation of local councils and public services.
During his visit to the Maxis showcase, Minister of Digital YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo was briefed on how these smart city solutions can support safer, more efficient, and future-ready communities.
Maxis emphasised that its initiatives are aligned with the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK13), which positions AI adoption as a cornerstone of the nation’s sustainable growth and competitiveness.
