KOTA KINABALU, October 8 — Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) president Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan said the party will hold a special meeting tomorrow to decide on the fate of five assemblymen who defied his decision to pull out from Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
The group — Datuk Ellron Angin, Datuk Robert Tawik, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, Datuk Annuar Ayub, and Datuk Flovia Ng — have pledged continued support for GRS and will defend their seats under the coalition’s logo, citing political stability and the people’s mandate as their priority.
Kitingan, who led STAR out of GRS over disagreements regarding its pact with Pakatan Harapan, has given the five until tomorrow to reconsider their stance before the party finalizes its decision.
