CUPERTINO, October 15 — Apple is poised to unveil its new M5 MacBook Pro as soon as tomorrow, marking the debut of its next-generation M5 chip. Built on TSMC’s advanced 3-nanometer process, the chip promises up to 12% faster CPU and 36% improved GPU performance compared to the M4.
While the design is expected to remain unchanged, a new dark blue color — teased in Apple’s latest promo — could be introduced to match the iPhone 17 Pro’s palette. The initial release will reportedly focus on the base 14-inch model, with the M5 Pro and M5 Max versions slated for early 2026.
Other rumored upgrades include Wi-Fi 7 support and an enhanced 18MP front-facing camera, though major hardware redesigns are unlikely. Apple’s marketing chief Greg Joswiak hinted at the imminent reveal with a teaser reading “something powerful is coming,” further fueling anticipation among Mac fans.
