GEORGE TOWN, October 22 — Penang State Executive Councillor for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE) Wong Hon Wai announced that Scoot will increase its Singapore–Penang flights from three to four daily services starting November 22, 2025.

The additional morning flight will depart Singapore at 6:50 AM and arrive in Penang at 8:30 AM, with the return leg leaving Penang at 9:30 AM for Singapore. Wong said the move, made possible through collaboration between Scoot, Penang International Airport, Penang Global Tourism, and Tourism Malaysia Singapore, enhances air connectivity and convenience for both leisure and business travellers.

He added that the additional frequency will help fill the gap left by Jetstar Asia’s suspension of its Penang route, bringing the total weekly Singapore–Penang flights to 91 when combined with services from Singapore Airlines, AirAsia, and Batik Air (starting December 8).

Between January and August 2025, Penang recorded over 103,000 arrivals from Singapore, solidifying it as one of Penang’s top international markets. “Every new flight strengthens Penang’s position as a regional aviation hub and global tourism destination,” Wong said.
