BALIK PULAU, October 25 — The closure of Jalan P14, Jalan Tun Sardon, will remain in effect after six new landslides were recorded between early morning and noon today, according to Penang Infrastructure and Transport Committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari.
He said technical teams from the Public Works Department (JKR) are conducting on-site inspections to assess the situation. Cleanup operations, which began yesterday, have been temporarily suspended due to continuous heavy rain.
For safety reasons, the planned reopening of the road at 6pm today has been postponed until further notice. Motorists are advised to plan their travel routes accordingly and avoid the affected area.
