PUTRAJAYA, November 24 — The Ministry of Education (KPM) has announced that the 2026 Academic Calendar for national and government-aided schools will officially return to a January start, with sessions running from 11 January to 31 December 2026 for Group A states and 12 January to 31 December 2026 for Group B states.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the successful return to the January school term was achieved through careful planning and a phased approach, ensuring minimal disruption to school operations. The move underscores KPM’s strong commitment to prioritising the well-being of students, teachers, and the entire education community.
