PETALING JAYA, October 29 — Indera Mahkota MP Saifuddin Abdullah has voiced his full support for PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, who was appointed as the new Pahang Perikatan Nasional (PN) chief following Saifuddin’s removal from the position.

In a statement, Saifuddin said he had personally congratulated Tuan Ibrahim and believed the new leadership would further strengthen PN’s presence in the state. Saifuddin, who was dropped as Pahang PN chairman amid his recent criticism of PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin, described the appointment as part of efforts to introduce fresh leadership to the coalition.

His remarks came after he called on Muhyiddin to resign as Bersatu president, accusing him of losing his leadership qualities. PN secretary-general Azmin Ali confirmed the leadership reshuffle, which also saw Mas Ermieyati Samsudin and Shahidan Kassim appointed as PN chiefs for Melaka and Perlis, respectively.
