GEORGE TOWN, October 31 — The Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE) and Aspen-Klippa have officially unveiled the Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) 2025 bus wrap at Aspen House, setting the stage for one of Penang’s most anticipated sporting events.

The initiative, supported by main sponsors Aspen Group, Klippa, and IKEA Batu Kawan, as well as Proton as the 10KM Title Sponsor, aims to boost public excitement and visibility ahead of the race on 14 December 2025.

Featuring vibrant marathon visuals, the wrapped buses will travel key routes across Penang to spread the marathon spirit and highlight Penang’s growing sports tourism appeal. Over 23,000 runners have registered for PBIM 2025, with a notable increase in full and half marathon participation.

To ensure smooth transport to the Batu Kawan venue, more than 42 shuttle buses will operate at 15-minute intervals from Queensbay, KOMTAR, Icon City, and Batu Kawan Stadium — with priority given to pre-booked runners (Island RM17, Mainland RM6, round trip).

PETACE Chairman YB Wong Hon Wai emphasized that PBIM represents unity, energy, and community spirit, while Aspen’s Dato’ Seri Nazir Ariff highlighted the collaboration’s role in promoting a healthier and more connected Penang. Participants can also look forward to on-ground games, fun giveaways, and exclusive rewards, ensuring PBIM 2025 delivers more than just a race.
