TERENGGANU, November 29 — Schneider Electric has partnered with PETRONAS and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) to launch the Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy (CEFORE), the world’s first integrated offshore facility harnessing wind, solar, and wave energy.

Located off Kuala Terengganu’s coast, CEFORE serves as a proof-of-concept for sustainable offshore power generation, aligning with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap and Blue Economy strategy.

Schneider Electric contributed advanced digital energy solutions, including EcoStruxure systems, RM AirSeT switchgear, and ETAP Power Plant Controller, to ensure efficient microgrid integration and energy reliability.

Country President Eugene Quah said the initiative marks a milestone in Malaysia’s decarbonization journey and sets a global precedent for mixed offshore renewable energy innovation.
