KUALA LUMPUR, December 1 — In a major step toward strengthening national climate transparency, Sastena Technology Sdn Bhd and FRIM Incorporated Sdn Bhd (FRIM Inc) have signed an MoU at the Cradle LIVE! Startup ASEAN Summit 2025 to develop Malaysia’s first AI-driven carbon intelligence framework.
The collaboration merges Sastena’s artificial intelligence capabilities with FRIM’s decades of forest research to enhance autonomous carbon assessment, monitoring, and reporting, positioning Malaysia as a leader in science-based and credible carbon market readiness.
Witnessed by the Malaysia Forest Fund and Cradle Fund, the partnership underscores the nation’s commitment to advancing sustainable innovation through data transparency, forest science, and technology integration.
