GEORGE TOWN, November 5 — The Penang City Council has announced that Persiaran Pantai Jerejak will be converted from a two-way to a one-way traffic system starting 5 November 2025 at 9:00 AM.

The one-way arrangement, applicable on school days during specific hours from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, aims to reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, and minimize conflicts along the route, particularly near Lebuh Pantai Jerejak 1 and the service road to Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.

The council emphasized that the one-way traffic system will initially be implemented on a trial basis, allowing authorities to assess its effectiveness in smoothing traffic movement and addressing local traffic challenges.

Drivers and commuters are advised to follow the new traffic direction and signage to ensure safety and compliance during the trial period.
