KUCHING, December 4 — BioVerde Technologies Sdn Bhd and the Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation have moved into the implementation phase of their partnership following an MoU exchange at IDECS25, witnessed by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg.

The collaboration focuses on six key pillars, including innovation, ecosystem development, and sustainable value creation, with early efforts to shape a Sarawak Bioeconomy Roadmap aligned with the National Biotechnology Policy 2.0.

Building on the RM300 million bio-based investment potential announced at IDECS25 and the National Bioeconomy Showcase 2025, both parties aim to accelerate biodiversity-led innovation, strengthen Malaysia’s bioeconomy competitiveness, and generate new opportunities for researchers, entrepreneurs, and local communities.
