KUALA LUMPUR, December 10 – Emirates is set to become the world’s largest operator of Starlink-enabled wide-body aircraft, offering free, ultra-fast inflight Wi-Fi across its fleet of 232 Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s.

The rollout begins on November 23 with the first Starlink-equipped Boeing 777 flight, followed by the debut of the world’s first Starlink-ready A380 in early 2026. Powered by SpaceX’s low-latency broadband, passengers will be able to stream, game, browse, make calls and stay fully connected on both personal devices and seatback screens—matching on-ground speeds at 40,000 feet.

The installation, occurring at a rate of 14 aircraft per month, includes dual antennae for each Boeing 777 and a world-first triple-antenna system for each A380 to ensure maximum coverage and capacity across all cabin classes.

Emirates’ move aligns with its massive fleet-wide retrofit programme, underscoring a commitment to delivering a unified premium experience featuring upgraded cabins, expanded entertainment systems, and now industry-leading connectivity.
