KUALA LUMPUR, December 4 – The Ministry of Transport Malaysia has announced that the deep-sea search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 will officially resume on 30 December 2025, led by U.S.-based seabed exploration company Ocean Infinity.
The operation, which will span a total of 55 days and be conducted intermittently, will focus on a targeted area in the southern Indian Ocean identified as having the highest probability of locating the missing aircraft.
This renewed effort follows the service agreement signed between the Malaysian Government and Ocean Infinity on 25 March 2025. The decision marks a significant step forward in the nation’s ongoing pursuit to uncover the fate of MH370, which disappeared on 8 March 2014.
The Ministry reaffirmed that this development reflects the Government of Malaysia’s steadfast commitment to providing long-awaited closure to the families and loved ones affected by the tragedy.
