KUALA LUMPUR, December 13 – Malaysia’s long-awaited electric train service between Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru made its preview run today, marking the completion of the 192km Gemas–JB electrified double-track project.

With Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad unveiling a six-coach, 312-seat train equipped with modern amenities including business-class cabins, a bistro, prayer room and onboard WiFi, ahead of its official launch tomorrow by the Regent of Johor and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

As the new southern ETS line promises to slash travel time to 4.5 hours, boost mobility and tourism, and meet strong demand with fares starting at RM82 and inaugural promotions already fully redeemed.
