KUALA LUMPUR, December 24 – Yes has set a new benchmark in Malaysia’s telecommunications landscape with the launch of the nation’s first 5G Advanced prepaid offering, the ‘yes 5g advanced starter pack’, priced at just RM10 and designed to deliver the PALING advanced 5G experience to all Malaysians.
Featuring 20GB of uncapped-speed data with an industry-leading 30-day validity, the longest among RM10 prepaid plans, the launch makes Yes the first telco to extend 5G Advanced technology to prepaid users nationwide.
Following the successful rollout of Yes 5G Advanced across 82.4% of populated areas, Malaysia becomes the world’s ninth country to enjoy this pre-6G standard, offering stronger indoor penetration, broader coverage and higher throughput for smoother gaming, higher-definition streaming and AI-ready connectivity.
YTL Communications CEO Wing K. Lee said the move removes barriers to premium connectivity, empowering today’s hyper-connected ‘generasi advanced’ to stream, game and create at the highest quality.
While reaffirming Yes as the only telco to deliver world-leading 5G Advanced by default across postpaid, prepaid and broadband customers, with the new starter pack available nationwide through multiple retail and online channels.
