GEORGE TOWN, December 17 — FoodPreneur Expo 2025 officially opened today at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, marking its debut as Southeast Asia’s first dedicated food and beverage entrepreneurship expo. Officiated by Penang Chief Minister YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow alongside Air Itam assemblyman YB Joseph Ng Soon Siang and Foodicious Sdn Bhd CEO Aleex Quah.

the three-day event brings together SMEs, startups, OEM manufacturers, franchise providers, investors and support agencies to empower aspiring and established foodpreneurs through knowledge-sharing, business matching and access to regional and international opportunities.

Running from December 16 to 18, the expo features 42 brands from Malaysia, Poland, China and Thailand across 55 booths, alongside key highlights such as the FoodPreneur Global Summit, Growth Forum, Halal Pavilion and FoodPreneur LAB, offering insights on franchising, halal certification, trade access and business innovation.

In conjunction with the opening, Foodicious signed a memorandum of understanding with China-based Zhong Tou Meng and Guizhou Hejiang Culture Media Co., Ltd., strengthening cross-border collaboration, while organisers expect more than 8,000 visitors.

Positioning the expo as a major platform for F&B innovation, networking and entrepreneurship growth in the region.
