KUALA LUMPUR, January 5 – The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has confirmed it is aware of the salary arrears case involving Kelantan The Real Warriors (TRW), with the club having been instructed by the Financial Fair Play (FFP) First Instance Body (FIB) on 14 November 2025 to submit proof of payment or a structured payment plan by 31 December 2025.

The arrears relate to player salaries from the 2024–2025 season under the club’s previous ownership, while no outstanding salary issues have been recorded for the 2025–2026 season to date. In addition to Kelantan TRW, PDRM FC, which is also facing salary arrears for the current season, has been directed to submit the required FFP documentation by the same deadline.

MFL said it is working closely with the Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) through the FFP framework, and any decisions regarding the cases involving Kelantan TRW and PDRM FC will be discussed in an upcoming FFP FIB meeting.
