GEORGE TOWN, January 9 — Penang State Executive Councillor Wong Hon Wai provided an update on the ongoing beam installation works for the Air Itam bypass connecting to Tun Lim Chong Eu Highway, confirming that three beams were successfully installed last night at the cross junction of Lebuhraya Thean Teik and Jalan Angsana, with the junction reopened to road users before 6am.
He added that works will continue tonight, with the junction scheduled to be temporarily closed from 10pm to 6am to facilitate the installation of three additional beams, and advised motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and follow traffic management instructions during the overnight closure.
