PETALING JAYA, January 26 — CelcomDigi Berhad has completed a large-scale connectivity and tower infrastructure deployment across IOI Corporation Berhad’s plantation estates in Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia, marking a major milestone in IOI’s digital transformation journey.
The rollout includes more than 100 4G and 4G LTE network sites across over 100 estates, along with dedicated Direct Internet Access for estate offices, enabling automation, IoT-driven asset and fleet management, and data-led operations to enhance productivity, safety, and operational efficiency.
Beyond supporting plantation digitalisation, the expanded connectivity also extends reliable high-speed access to surrounding rural communities, improving access to education, healthcare, and essential digital services.
CelcomDigi said the initiative reflects its commitment to powering enterprise growth and digital inclusion, while IOI noted that the partnership provides a strong digital foundation to scale smart, sustainable, and integrated plantation operations nationwide.
