GEORGE TOWN, February 2 — The 9th edition of the Penang Roadshow to India, led by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) under the theme ‘Simply Penang’, took place from 19 to 27 January across Mumbai, New Delhi, Kochi, and Chennai.
Engaging over 800 qualified buyers and 100 media representatives to strengthen Penang’s tourism and business events ties with India. With more than 42,000 Indian visitors recorded in 2025—propelling India into Penang’s top six international source markets.
The roadshow highlights Penang’s robust business events ecosystem, which hosted over 2,900 events generating RM1.3 billion in economic impact, while leveraging the continued visa exemption for Indian nationals and positioning the state as a key destination ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
