KUALA LUMPUR, February 5 — OpenSys (M) Berhad today launched the Horizon Series, a next-generation cash recycling and multi-service self-service banking platform developed in collaboration with Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd (OKI).
Marking the first cash recycling platform designed and manufactured in Malaysia by OpenSys Technologies. Built on OKI’s globally proven cash recycling technology, the Horizon Series enables banks to optimise cash utilisation, reduce operational costs.
And modernise branch operations by consolidating multiple services — including deposits, withdrawals, and future digital capabilities — into a single, modular platform. Designed for scalability, security and regulatory compliance.
The platform supports upgrade-in-place expansion such as biometric authentication, payments and digital services, allowing financial institutions to adapt to evolving banking needs without replacing hardware, and will be commercially available from January 2026.
